Grief waits for none to see,
The inner workings of the heart.

God waits for us to come,
humbly seeking, set apart.

Wait no more for peace and pardon,
Grasp the gift that given waits,

And on tomorrow's gilded morning,
Joy unfurled at Heaven's gate.

Why is this site called Anna's Place?

I feel a kinship to a woman who lived many years ago. Her name is Anna. The Bible says beginning in Luke 2:36, "Now there was one, Anna... She was of a great age, and had lived with a husband seven years... and this woman was a widow of about eighty-four years, who did not depart from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day."

I got married to my highschool sweetheart, Gerald Alan Kelly, on September 7, 1985. We would have been married seven years but he died suddenly on June 30, 1992. Even though my life has taken a different path, like Anna of old, I seek to serve God with all my heart. One of the ways is through the share and prayer ministry of Anna's Place.

I never thought it would happen to me. Right before my twenty-sixth birthday, I suddenly became a widow. How was I going to make it and raise my nine-month-old son? As the months passed, I felt like there was no one I could relate to, until I remembered my grandmother’s friend. “Didn’t her husband die young? I wonder if I could write her a letter.” Anna's Place is your opportunity to share and in doing so begin the journey of hope and healing.
